The majority of our coils are pre-formed, meaning they are molded into specific sizes and shapes. These coils maintain their form throughout their lifecycle, but altering the leads to accommodate inline applications is possible without compromising their integrity.
The Bearing Buddy is a flexible coil designed to wrap around inline applications or objects that cannot be accessed with standard pre-formed coils. While the Bearing Buddy wire is quite flexible and won’t retain shape, it remains equally effective as our pre-formed coils.
We offer the Bearing Buddy in two sizes, 96' and 41'. Additionally, we provide a coil pack that includes both sizes and features a heat-resistant mat. This mat prolongs coil lifespan by shielding the insulation from wear and tear caused by direct contact with heated metal.

For optimal outcomes, wrap the mat around the object and then coil the wire 3-4 times to enhance the magnetic field strength. Increased wraps translate to improved results.
The 23' U-form coil offers versatility, allowing you to shape it to fit any required size! Like the pre-formed coils, the U-form coil retains its shape.
To craft a coil, select a socket that matches the size of the bolt you intend to extract and wrap the U-form coil around it. For peak performance, ensure to wrap the coil 3-4 times around the object.
The induction heating coil must fit snugly around the target application, leaving a small gap between the coil and heated object. A tighter fit (without contact) enhances the heating efficiency.
If the coil diameter is too large, heating may take longer. Conversely, a coil that is too small risks damaging insulation and prematurely wearing out.
Use the twist-lock function on the Mini-Ductor Venom® and Venom HP, or employ the thumb screws when utilizing the Mini-Ductor II.
Note: Ensure both thumb screws are tightened concurrently to secure the coil properly.

Most often, there is no need for the application to reach red-hot temperatures, as demonstrated in our videos and live demonstrations. We heat bolts to red-hot mainly to illustrate the precise and safe heating capabilities of our tools, along with the speed at which ferrous metals can be heated.
Following the initial use, you might observe some browning or darkening of the coil's insulation; this is a standard occurrence that persists with regular usage. With appropriate handling, a single coil can endure from'200-300 applications.
Should your coils show signs of insulation loss or fraying, it is vital to replace them immediately!
Using compromised induction heating coils is extremely hazardous. Heating metal on metal can lead to arcing, resulting in burnout of the unit. Furthermore, arcing can generate sparks, posing a potential fire risk.

We do not offer replacement insulation for coils and advise complete coil replacement if the insulation sustains damage.
