The main advantage of our underground cable laying machines is the enormous pulling force of the mobile winches of up to 180 tons. This tractive force makes it possible to lie low, medium or high voltage cables at a depth of up to 2.5 metres. Up to 3 systems can be laid at the same time, including cover tapes, earthing wire, warning tapes and fibre opics.
Alternative trench and ploughing methods reach their performance limits at a certain point. After a certain laying depth has been reached, the necessary self-force to move forward is lacking. This is no problem for FOECK machines due to the high tractive forces, even difficult ground conditions are no obstacle.
Another advantage of laying underground cables with our FOECK special machines is that the machines adapt to all terrain. This is made possible by the hydraulically adjustable outriggers of the plough. Thanks to the adjustment, the FOECK machines cause significantly less damage to the field.
A great advantage of the laying plough technique is that no preparatory work damaging to nature is required (such as removing topsoil, trees and bushes, etc.). No soil is excavated, thus avoiding soil structure changes and subsequent compaction. This makes the process significantly more environmentally friendly and ecologically sustainable than laying using the traditional method.
Another environmental advantage, compared to long-lasting construction sites, is the low fuel consumption and the associated low CO2 emissions. With plough laying, only about 50 litres of diesel fuel are consumed per 1,000 metres of laying distance. By comparison, laying the same distance with a milling machine consumes around 3 times more diesel fuel and laying with an excavator up to 10 times more.

The conventional method of cable laying involves milling, drilling or excavating. These processes are very laborious, take time and are associated with high costs. In comparison, FOECK machines work more efficiently and save costs: underground cable laying can be carried out 10 to 20 times faster. This saves a lot of time.
Conventional laying requires construction sites that last for days. This results in high costs, which you can save with the FOECK laying system.
Obstacles such as ditches, rock layers or water crossings are no problem for our machines. The work is not hindered by them. Thanks to the hydraulically adjustable ripper shoe, the desired depth can be maintained continuously, even with changing soil conditions. This allows work to be carried out without interruption and avoids costly reworking.
Ploughing close to obstacles is no problem for the machines. The underground cables can also be laid at short distances from objects such as walls or traffic signs.
